Hi Jordan! I’m glad you liked it šŸ™‚ Strange that the sides were crumbly. Did you run a knife around the edges of the pan before releasing the cake? That can sometimes cause that.

This cake was delicious, but the edges of the cake were very crumby so I couldnā€™t make it as fully ā€œnakedā€ as I would have liked. Any tips for this?

Hi Catherine! The ingredient amounts listed in the recipe make three 6″ or two 8″ cake layers.

Hi Saachi! If it’s only a couple days the cake will be fine in the fridge. If you like though you can freeze either just the cake layers or the whole frosted cake too.

The registry is next Tuesday and I was thinking of baking the cake on the Sunday. I am a bit concerned about the cakes drying out. What do you recommend? I have seen people suggest putting it in the freezer overnight but Iā€™m not quite sure what the best option is.
