Hi Kelly! It is hard to say as ovens vary so much. Baking times are just a rough guideline. Bundt cakes generally take 50mins+ though depending on the recipe and volume.

Hi Kelly! In most cases, they are the same. Mint is pretty general as there are other flavours like spearmint etc but most mint extract should be peppermint.

Hi Karen! I’ve never tried a mint CC frosting myself so I’m not sure how the flavours would go, but otherwise it should work. CC frosting is softer to work with so it will be hard to get clean lines to do the drip.

However, she prefers a cream cheese frosting over buttercream. Do you think this would work if I used a traditional cream cheese frosting recipe and replaced the vanilla extract with mint extract?

I made this exactly as written except that I made 1.5x the buttercream in order to be sure to have plenty to pipe. I also added slightly more peppermint extract (2 tsp vs 1.5 tsp). The cake tastes divine and perfectly what I was hoping for (like a grasshopper bar). The recipes on this website never fail me!

Hi Sheila! Yes, that will work no problem. Be sure to increase the pan size. I recommend three 9″ pans.
