Hi Belinda! Yes, but you may need to adjust baking time.

Would this recipe work in a 9×13 baking pan?
Thanks

This cake is the most requested cake along with your black forest cake. I havent figured out your way of decorating but I have my own method and I also don’t do the naked . I found unsalted good quality butter whipped well leaves a less buttery taste and yields a better frosting. This cake is made with my own cookie recipe which is a huge hit on its own. Thank you for your fabulously delicious cakes! šŸ˜‹

Hi Stazzi! Sorry to hear it didn’t turn out how you expected. Sounds like something went wrong along the way. If your cakes didn’t rise, check to make sure your baking powder is still fresh. These ones should bake quite tall (right to the top of 6×2″ pans). For the buttercream, it sounds like it wasn’t made correctly/whipped enough. I have a detailed tutorial here: https://livforcake.com/swiss-meringue-buttercream-recipe/

Hi Taytlyn! I would do the latter if possible but it should work either way. Don’t drench the cake layers too much, just brush the soak on šŸ™‚

A lot of work went into this cake and it looked nothing like the picture, it was embarrassing. Also the buttercream frosting was way too buttery. My cakes did not rise thick like these. Yes I sifted well etc..tasted ok, but the wow factor fell flat.

But I have to carve and keep the cake frozen, do you think the cookie soak work with being frozen or should I freeze the cake layers, carve, then soak before frosting? THANK YOU SO MUCH!
