Hi Suzanne! No, in a Bundt cake pan it would take longer for sure. It’s hard to say how long as every oven/pan makes a difference. I recommend checking on the cakes as they are baking.

Hi Jake! The cake will be totally fine made 2-3 days in advance. After that it will start to dry out. I do recommend refrigerating it and then taking it out 2-3 hours before serving. Let me know how you like it!

Thanks for sharing the recipe. First time cake-baker here looking to give this a go for my partner’s birthday. I saw your notes about making each portion in advance, but what about the whole cake itself? Do you think the texture/structure of the cake would suffer if I built the whole cake a couple of days ahead of time and refrigerated it as a unit? She gets home from work Thursday but her birthday isn’t until Saturday.
